Taelen Thomas Reads Robinson Jeffers
by Kathryn Petruccelli
Though he's never portrayed Robinson Jeffers the man, he embodies Jeffers' poetry in a way that makes a sometimes esoteric voice accessible. In this performance, he orates to a full house at the Monterey Public Library, his dramatic ebb and flow including lighting changes and musical accompaniment. In cowboy hat, boots and green cordouroy blazer, he takes the stage...

George Lober on Robinson Jeffers : A Class to Attend
by Kathryn Petruccelli
Kathryn writes that, "The event I attended was a quiet, informal event at the Seaside Public LIbrary where after a biographical introduction of Jeffers, Lober invited attendees to call out their favorite poems which we read together and discussed. It almost had the feel of a book club, or an English class in which everyone had done their homework and didn't want to be anywhere else." To attend class, just follow this Link.

Taelen Thomas Interviewed at The Big Read : Robinson Jeffers Redux
by Kathryn Petruccelli

Thomas is not just a reader of poetry, but also portrays poets. It's a bit unusual then, that he's never got round to portray Jeffers. You can hear Kathryn's conversation with Taelen Thomas by following this link.

A 2008 Interview with Brian Yaeger : Deciphering Field Notes
Brian Yaeger arrived in the office I use for interviews with a beer — very good. As we spoke, whatever it is that lives in that office that I'm allergic to began to work it's magic, and partway through, I started coughing. I've edited that bit out of the interview for your listening pleasure. Good thing Brian had that beer with him, 'cos he offered me some and I was able to conclude the interview without sounding like I'd been gargling a sandpaper smoothie. You can hear the remarkably sober conversation we had about beer by following this link. Once you get the audio up, leave the general vicinity of the computer and serve yourself. So long as you're not listening to this while driving home on your commute. Unless, as a Mad Magazine song once said (to the tune of When Johnny Comes Marching Home), "you're on the train with the special car / the one that features the stand-up bar / and you'll feel no pain / when you're taking the 502...."
